Kelly Science is seeking a Manufacturing Scientist to join a growing team located in Ann Arbor, MI.

Pay: $33.65/hour

Shift: Monday-Friday 1 st Shift

Employment Type: 6 month contract with potential to convert to a permanent employee

Summary:

As the Manufacturing Scientist, you will be upscaling and optimizing biological manufacturing processes, specifically focusing on a product which involves extractions from E. coli cultures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate and optimize a 10L bioreactor starting from bacterial cultures in a 6L flask.

• Implement and refine protocols for process optimization including oxygenation, temperature control and stirring speed.

• Collaborate with the production team for smooth transitions of optimized processes for large-scale production.

• Work closely with the process development team that will continue projects post-optimization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Biological sciences, biochemical engineering or a related scientific field.

• Prior experience within bioproduction working with bacterial cell cultures and bioreactor operations.

• Hands-on experience performing process optimization and scale-up within a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to work well independently but also able to collaborate with different teams within the facility.
