We are looking for a Vice President of Capture to identify, develop and win managed service solutions to federal civilian agencies and the contractor community focused on the worldwide federal market. The position is responsible for directing major bid activities while maintaining sales product alignment to corporate initiatives and goals.

How you'll support your team...

  • Develop capture strategies and opportunity targets to support the growth and expansion of federal civilian business in the sciences, engineering and technology.

  • Deliver the full life cycle of capture activities, including market analysis, identifying and qualifying business opportunities, lead planning and management, creating and presenting sales solutions, developing and building partner / teaming strategies and relationships to respond to new business opportunities.

  • Lead and direct the capture team (sales managers and proposal manager) in pursuit and RFP activities to meet annual targets.

  • Forecast and maintain overall pipeline within capture software that outlines potential opportunities, values and timeline.

  • Oversee the maintenance of all capture planning minutes, proposal responses and communication in a central library.

  • This position also supports KGS management, operating teams and internal Kelly commercial sales groups as assigned.

  • Coordinate with external consultants as needed for RFP activities.

  • Clearly communicates roles and responsibilities and hold the capture team accountable for delivering results. Instill a growth mindset and sense of urgency in the capture team.

  • Drive collaboration among individuals, teams and across the enterprise.

  • Provide feedback and coaching to the team to ensure growth and sales expectations are being met.

  • Provide regular constructive feedback and development discussions with team members.

  • Develop and maintain multiple sales channels, i.e. direct, teaming, managed service, staffing short and long term to federal civilian, DOD or the contractor community.

  • Arrange and participate in internal and external prospective client presentations and discussions.Identify and attend industry functions, such as association events, industry days, and conferences to support strategic capture initiatives including potential for speaking engagements.

  • Support opportunity closure through qualification of partners, creation of bid teams, qualification of requirements, developing technical/management strategies, crafting win themes/discriminators, and developing pricing strategy.

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of Capture related experience preferred or 15 years of experience, including 6 years of experience leading large, complex capture efforts (>$100M).

  • 10 – 15 years of experience with Federal government solutions sales within the sciences and/or technology

  • Knowledge of Federal Agencies and the contractor community

  • Strong drive to build internal and external networks

  • Ability to lead and manage in a matrixed environment

  • Thorough understanding of the Federal Procurement Process

  • Understanding of market trends, competitors and opportunities

  • Strong communication skills written and editorial, graphic design
