Pay Rate : $33.78/HR

Schedule: This role rotates between 1st and 2nd shift every other week with some Saturdays required.

1st shift: 7AM-3PM

2nd shift: Mon-Fri 3PM-11PM

first 2 months of training are on 1st shift

Location: Athens, GA

Duration: Permanent position with benefits

What’s a typical day as an Industrial Electrician? You’ll be:

• Using a computer to check the status of jobs and electrical repairs that need to be completed

• Inspecting and testing electrical malfunctions using testing instruments, manuals, guides, and blueprints

• Repairing and performing preventative maintenance on equipment and electrical circuits

• Performing maintenance and mechanical repairs

• Fabricating and welding brackets

• Connecting power supply wires to machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints

• Diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus and replacing damaged or broken wires and cables

• Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair

• Installing conduit and other wiring

• Working from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and machines

• Advising management on potential hazards related to equipment operation

• Complying with facility safety requirements by wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE)

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have experience as an Industrial Electrician

• Have experience working with BFD, motor starters, LM Bradley components, PLCs, AC and DC motors, and/or robotics experience

• Have experience working with 480 volt or higher

• Possess knowledge of electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints

• Are skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment

• Have the ability to diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions

• Are familiar with welding and fabrication techniques

• Have a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
