I have an exciting opportunity with The world’s No.1 semiconductor assembly and packaging solutions supplier. This client is looking for a Systems Level Electromechanical Technician to aid in Assembly, Test and troubleshooting throughout the Prototype phase of their current project.

Position Profile:

\t\t\t

The Engineering Technician will be a member of the PVD Engineering group (Physical Vapor Deposition), supporting engineering activities and new product development.

\t\t\t

\t\t\t

The candidate will assist with assembly, test and debugging of sophisticated first-of-a-kind prototype hardware for semiconductor processing. This requires working closely with hardware and software engineers and scientists to evaluate and improve the hardware prior to transition to manufacturing. This position will require an individual with excellent electro-mechanical skills, a level of detail that insures accuracy of work content, and the ability to multitask as task priorities change. The individual will interact daily with engineering and manufacturing personnel.

Responsibilities:

\t\t\t

• Assemble complex electromechanical systems

\t\t\t

• Assist in documenting performance of first-of-kind processing modules

\t\t\t

• Assists engineers in development of testing techniques to determine performance and life cycle metrics

\t\t\t

• Assist in reviewing and validating

\t\t\t

• Execute test plans, collecting critical data and comparing to metrics.

\t\t\t

• Investigate reliability issues

\t\t\t

• Assist with equipment maintenance

\t\t\t

\t\t\t

Required Experience and Qualifications:

\t\t\t

• AS degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.

\t\t\t

• 2+ years’ experience with capital equipment and complex electromechanical systems. Experience with Vacuum Technology and/or Semiconductor Equipment is a plus .

\t\t\t

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics (Assembly drawings, fabricated parts drawings, P&ID diagrams, electrical schematics etc.)

\t\t\t

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team consisting of engineers, manufacturing and process engineering personnel.

\t\t\t\t\t

• Proficiency with Excel for data collection and analysis.

  • Someone who can assemble complex Electromechanical systems (Systems level, not at the component level)\t

  • Someone who can work with minimal documentation. This client is in the prototype phase and needs someone who can come in and work with the available resources – read and interpret drawings and Solidworks models etc.\t

  • Someone who can give feedback on issues to the design engineers throughout the process\t

  • Someone with the strong ability to Multi-task – someone with the ability to switch gears on the fly and help in various areas of the process\t

  • Testing (mostly automated), someone who wants to learn and can come up to speed relatively quickly with their SW packages for testing – Big plus if someone can generate test plans
