Kelly Services Bookkeeper in Brooker, Florida

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Bookkeeper to join our non-profit dental clinic in a rural area of Florida. This is a temporary position with the possibility of transitioning to permanent. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial stability of the clinic by utilizing your strong knowledge of QuickBooks and creating new business processes. Job Specifications:

  • Job Type: Temporary, possible transition to permanent

  • Location: Brooker, FL

  • Pay Rate: $18.00 - $24.00/hr.

  • Shift: 3 days (24 hours) per week; flexible: Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Will convert to 40 hours after 90 days.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Handle all accounts payable, payroll, and prepare deposits using Desktop QuickBooks.

  • Provide documents and QuickBooks files to the accountant for monthly management reports and annual audits.

  • Function as an integral part of the administrative staff.

  • Provide administrative support to all staff members as needed and directed by the Supervisor.

  • Maintain productive and efficient contact with the Supervisor.

  • Work with the administrative staff and Supervisor to provide ongoing support in financial, HR, grant reporting/writing/invoicing, and other activities required for the operation of the clinic.

  • Act as the point of contact for all IT support (on-site and IT consultant), building cleaning, lawn care, and overall building maintenance.

  • Directly supervise the maintenance tech position.

  • Manage the business relationships with insurance agents, auditors, accountants, banking representatives, and others as needed.

  • Work with Supervisor and accountant to complete 990 and other accounting and payroll documents.

  • Provide support for business-related matters such as licenses, fees, etc.

  • Provide human resources support to Supervisors in matters of employee records, policies and procedures, and rules and regulations guided by law, Employee manual, and consultation, as needed, with an HR Consultant.

  • Order all administrative and building supplies for the clinic (excluding clinical supplies).

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Prior experience in bookkeeping, HR, and grant management.

  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of business processes and financial management.
