Our client is a leading chemical and packaging company looking for a Permanent Power Tool Technician with excellent maintenance skills in Burnaby, BC.

As an experienced and adaptable Tool Technician, your expertise spans a wide range, encompassing industrial power tools, hand tools, as well as equipment like pressure washers, compressors, generators, drain cleaners, threaders, inspection cameras, press tools, hoists, and lifts. Your proficiency extends beyond these categories, allowing you to effectively handle diverse tools and machinery with precision and care.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Identifying product defects and devising necessary repair procedures

• Repairing or replacing defective parts in products

• Testing products post-repair to ensure they meet factory specifications

• Maintaining organized inventory and customer records in the Repair Department

• Providing accurate information and guidance on products, costs, and repairs to customers, colleagues, and management

• Keeping work area orderly, including equipment, storage, and repair parts

• Completing tasks within designated timeframes without compromising quality

• Undertaking other duties and tasks as assigned

About you:

• Extensive knowledge of both two and four-stroke gasoline engines.

• Knowledge in hydraulics and electric solenoid valves.

• Confidently handle single and three-phase electric motors.

• Comfortable diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components on your own.

• High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.

• Minimum five years of experience using common hand and power tools.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are a must.

• The ability to work well both independently and with a team is important to us.

• We value individuals who are willing to follow instructions well and are eager to learn new skills.
