Kelly Services Machine Operator II in Coamo, Puerto Rico

Job Description

1) Operate a variety of industrial machinery to: cut, wind, rivet, weld, bend, straighten and form pieces of metal or plastic; according to the specifications and quality requirements.

2) Make simple tool changes ("fixtures").

3) Perform assigned TPM / Operator.

4) Read and interpret specifications in engineering drawings. (where necessary)

5) Perform inspections by attribute (eg, threads, holes, "Go, No-Go gages" and "Testers") to parts and components, according to the drawings and established quality requirements. (where necessary)

6) Use fully and be certified in the handling of measuring instruments, such as: "Testers", "pin gage" and "thread gage", "Go, No-Go gage", etc.

7) Actively participate in Kaizen events. (where necessary)

8) Requires the guidance of a more skilled operator.

9) Carry out their work in compliance with the established operational guidelines (MESH, LEAN, ERP, etc.).

III. COMPETENCIES OF THE POSITION

1) Operate machinery associated with operations in the Feeders area.

2) Know and master the operation of 50% or more of the machinery associated with their position, according to the Matrix of "Cross Training" of the area.

3) Provide preventive maintenance to the equipment.

4) Help make adjustments that are necessary to keep the process under control.

5) Use measuring instruments such as: caliper, comparator, micrometer, pin gages and threads and hand tools required such as screwdriver, pliers, hammer, etc.

6) Read and interpret drawings, specifications and visual aids, as required.

7) Document and report production reports such as: scrap, routing sheet, etc.

8) Make movement of materials to feed the machinery.

9) Make process adjustments, according to Kanban priorities or special requirements, using the existing reports.

Requirements

High School Diploma

Experience: Minimum, three (3) years of experience in manufacturing operations or in a related trade.

Basic Knowledge in computer.

Available 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift.

Salary: $8.00 ph
