Role: Accounting Clerk Accounting Assistant who is fluent in Japanese
Duration: Contract to hire
Pay: $22-28/hr. depending on experience
Location: Elgin, IL – onsite
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm (semi-flexible)
Summary:
- Responsible for performing clerical functions related to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Duties and Responsibilities
Posts sales orders in Navision for shipped product
Sends invoice to customer via customers’ specifications (Mail, email, online portal)
Follows up with customers about outstanding invoices and issues daily reminders regarding payment status
Creates weekly/monthly Collection Reports
Deposits checks received via remote check scanner to bank
Monitors bank account for activity (prepayments/receivables/payables) and updates Excel sheet
Applies cash receipts from customers (deposits, ACH, credit cards, and wire transfers) into Navision
Prints and saves monthly bank statements
Circulates vendor invoices to department managers for approval and enters Accounts Payable data into Navision
Generates ACH Payment List and schedules weekly ACH payment runs
Mails out checks to vendors as needed
Enters new vendor cards in Navision and updates as needed
Inputs and updates ACH payment information for vendors in Navision
Completes and sends factoring form to UFJ and saves information on the H drive
Maintains petty cash funds and creates monthly Petty Cash Sheets
Enters exchange rates into Navision for pesos and yen as needed
Assists with back-up for issues with the time clock
Responsible for filing all Accounting related documents
