Raw Material Chemist

Fort Washington, PA

Full-Time

M-F, 1 st Shift

Compensation: $35-40/hr DOE

Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Raw Material Chemist for a long-term engagement at one of our Global clients in Fort Washington, PA. This site is BYOD and candidates will need to have a device running Intel i5 or above processor 8GB RAM or higher WINDOWS 11 Microsoft Windows 365.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform chemical and physical testing for raw materials using USP/NF, EP.

  • Review technical documentations, such as laboratory notebook, protocol, and reports when applicable.

  • Review associated technical documentation to ensure alignment with supplier specifications.

  • Conduct laboratory investigations.

  • Comply with cGMP requirements.

  • Become familiar with SOPs, applicable Quality Standards, Work Instruction, functional documentation and operational guidance.

  • Attend required safety training and maintain a safe work environment.

  • Scientist will be responsible of ensuring accuracy and successful completion of raw material testing activities.

Qualifications

  • BS in analytical chemistry with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, or MS with 1-2 years experience in analytical chemistry.

  • Must have strong background and hands-on experience in HPLC, GC, FT-IR, UV/VIS, wet chemistry techniques common to the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.

  • Experience with Documentum based document storage systems is highly preferred.

  • Knowledge and experience with regulatory requirements including ICH, FDA, and compendia e.g. USP, JP, EP, etc. is preferred.

  • Good working knowledge of computer systems, including chromatographic data acquisition system e.g. Empower, LIMS, MS Word, and MS Excel are required.
