Job Title: Pick and Pack Worker

Job Summary:

As a Pick and Pack Worker at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of our warehouse. You will be responsible for unloading goods, checking inventory, packaging products, and preparing them for dispatch. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will contribute to our overall success.

Job Specifications:

• Job Type: Full-time

• Location: Grand Island, NE

• Pay Rate: $18.75

• Shift: 7AM to 4PM

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Unload goods delivered and verify that they match the information provided

• Check purchase orders for quantities and due dates

• Book goods into the system and batch each box as required

• Pass samples and paperwork to the Inspection department

• Put goods away in designated picking or pallet locations

• Transfer goods to boxing or subcontract operations when necessary

• Repackage bulk products into smaller quantities as per company or customer requirements

• Fill boxing machine hoppers as needed for waste management

• Move boxed goods to designated storage locations

• Generate dispatch notes, picking lists, and labels as required

• Resolve any discrepancies noted during the picking process

• Notify the line manager of potential stock issues

• Ensure that items picked correspond to the descriptions on the notes

• Pack items securely and ensure they remain undamaged during transportation

• Arrange for the issuance of certification as specified on the picking note

• Load goods onto transport within specified deadlines

• Operate warehouse equipment to reach high locations

• Utilize the current ERP system effectively

• Print labels using handheld or physical printers with batch numbers

• Use mobile scanners or tablet devices for inventory receiving and picking

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred

• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required

• Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management

• Familiarity with operating warehouse equipment is a plus

• Proficiency in using an ERP system for inventory management

• Basic computer skills for label printing and data entry

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
