Kelly Services Administrative Assistant in Grand Junction, Iowa

Now Hiring in Grand Junction : Administrative Assistant / Bookkeeper (Temporary, 12 Weeks)

Compensation: $25/hour

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM

Overall Purpose and Objective of Position

This position is responsible for managing a variety of accounting, clerical, and logistical tasks. Responsibilities include check generation and various data collection and entry projects for a dry mill ethanol plant.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Perform data entry of inbound and outbound commodities into a computerized data program.

  • Assist merchandisers with outgoing distiller's grain invoicing and related documentation.

  • Communicate with employees to ensure commodity transactions are correctly entered into the computerized weighing system.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide telephone reception support for incoming calls on multiple lines; greet farmers, truck drivers, and clients, and respond professionally to inquiries or refer them as appropriate.

  • Complete miscellaneous clerical tasks as assigned, including collecting and organizing data, performing account analysis, and coordinating with staff from other departments.

  • Accept and carry out other job duties as assigned.

  • Assist at the reception window by creating visitor badges and coordinating with other departments.

Educational/Professional Certifications/Licenses Required

  • One year of bookkeeping/grain accounting experience, including bookkeeping/accounting procedures.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

  • Good secretarial skills, including typing, proofreading, filing, and organizing.

  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy and prioritize workload.

  • Proficiency with Excel and MS Word.

    Equipment Used

  • Typical office equipment: PC, telephone, fax machine, calculator, scanner, and copier.

  • In plant areas: Must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPEs) as required.
