Kelly Services is currently recruiting for a client in Guelph, Ontario for a contract Consultative role for 6 months as Labor Relations Consultant

On site Monday to Friday

Contract: 6 months

• Provide expert support, advice and guidance on employee and labor relations issues

• Liaise with union leadership and representatives and work with all stakeholders to foster positive, harmonious and proper labor relations

• Provide expert advice to leaders on the interpretation and application of new or current collective agreements

• Assist on labor and employment related matters, such as policies and procedures, collective bargaining, grievance handling and resolution, mediation and arbitration, conflict investigation and resolution, disability and attendance management, discipline and performance management

• Conduct workplace investigations ensuring defensible and reasonable due process is followed and documentation is sufficient to stand up to challenges and potential litigation possibly some of this if there is a need and it involves a union member

What you bring:

• Bachelor s degree and/or College diploma in Human Resources and/or a related field Previous hospital experience is considered an asset

• 2+ years experience in Human Resources

• Minimum 2 years experience in labor relations

• Collaborative mind-set that values strong performance and accountability, open and honest communication and demonstrates integrity, respect, consistency and fairness

Pay rate: $40-$50/hour
