Kelly Services is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant for an American petroleum and natural gas exploration and production company located in Houston, TX.

Job Title: Fixed Asset Accountant

Location: Houston, TX 77056

Job Type: Contract

Length: 12-Months

Est. Start Date: 11/4/19

Pay Rate: $38 - $42 per hour


The ideal candidate will have Fixed Asset experience in SAP. More specifically the person must have experience in the "Project Systems" module of SAP and in the "Fixed Asset Module" of SAP. Oil and gas industry experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate will also be highly motivated, will take ownership and initiative and won't be afraid to ask questions. Looking for someone who can proactively identify & suggest process improvements.

This position reports to the Fixed Asset Supervisor within the Accounting Organization and will be responsible for fixed asset accounting functions for the Company’s US and EG assets. This position will interface regularly with Operations Accounting, Financial Analysts and Asset Team personnel. The incumbent will need to demonstrate strong problem solving, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. Clear understanding of the Oil and Gas Industry and Fixed Asset transactions is desirable.



  • Production volume loads and reconciliation\t

  • Domestic and International reserve loads and reconciliation\t

  • Perform Fixed Asset Account Reconciliations in Blackline as assigned\t

  • Miscellaneous Fixed Asset journal entry preparation and entry in SAP\t

  • Create final assets in SAP as needed\t

  • Prepare and distribute multiple reports as assigned by Supervisor\t

  • Assist with Fixed Assets Monthly and Annual tasks, including cost center blocking/opening, and AUC/WBS project cleanup.\t

  • Work with Supervisor on small projects.\t

  • Interact with other departmental personnel to improve departmental communication.\t

  • Possess knowledge of fixed asset accounting and share that knowledge with others.\t

  • Demonstrate initiative in seeking additional responsibility.\t

  • Assist in developing and promoting sound recommendations that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance\t

  • Computer Proficiencies: SAP and Excel\t

  • Work Experience: 2+ years Fixed Assets Accounting experience required\t

  • Industry Experience: Strong preference to Upstream Oil & Gas
