Job Description


This position will support of the daily functions within our maintenance department and will primarily perform but not be limited to troubleshooting and repairing PLC controlled metal shaping/forming machines and equipment, automation equipment, PM-s, parts and material requisitioning, estimating jobs and any other duties as assigned by the management team. This position will also mentor and train less skilled technicians, provide advanced troubleshooting assistance when and where needed, and effectively communicate with the site management team and client.

Performs repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on production machines and equipment.

Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains PLC controlled machines.

Performs work based on dispatched service or daily/weekly work schedules.

Reviews work as required to document specific needs (materials, supplies, instructions, etc).

Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Mentor and train less skilled technicians.

Works with or oversees subcontractor activities as directed by supervisor or work schedule

High School graduate or demonstrated equivalent.

This is a senior level position with 3 years of experience as an maintenance technician with experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing machines and equipment.

Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and rebuilding various types of power transfer devices, pumps and gearboxes on assembly line and production equipment.

Experience troubleshooting low voltage controls.

Experience troubleshooting and repairing PLC-s.

Experience troubleshooting and repairing machine pneumatic systems.

Experience troubleshooting and repairing machine hydraulic systems.

Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

Associates degree in industrial technology or certificate of completion from an Industrial electrical course.

Experience working in a CMMS environment.

NFPA-70E Training.

Have the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

Have the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.

Have the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.

Have the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.

Have the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.

Have the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.

Have the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant for shift.

Must wear steel-toed safety shoes, safety glasses and gloves

There is a wide variety of duties. It is not assembly work where you stand and do the same thing every day and watch things go by you. People move around doing a lot of different jobs. You could be doing any or all of these jobs.

Some jobs may involve occasional lifting to 35 lbs. There-s a lot of bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, up and down ladders, crawling in and out of trailers.

Basic factory -hot in the summer, cold in the winter.

There is a 60-day probationary period. We look at that as a NO MISS time period. Once the probationary period is successfully met, conversion to full time employment with an increase of $1 will be given. After 90 days of full time employment the employee will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits packages. We are looking for people who will BE HERE EVERY DAY and BE ON TIME EVERY DAY.
