Kelly® Professional & Industrial is seeking a Senior Machinist to work at a premier automotive manufacturer in Livonia, MI. Sound like something you’re interested in? Pay: $25 / hr - $26 / hr

Hours: 6 am - 2:30 pm Monday - Friday (overtime as needed)

What’s a typical day as a Senior Machinist? You’ll be:

• Setting up and operating manual and CNC machine shop equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, saws, etc. to machine a wide variety of very close tolerance details.

• Reading and interpreting drawings, sketches, and blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

• Verifying dimensions, alignments, and clearances in accordance with specifications.

• Programming, setting up, and operating multi-axis CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, and turning centers to produce complex parts to close tolerances.

• Conducting self-quality audits and performing inspections on all work.

• Maintaining a neat and well-organized work area.

• Training and instructing less experienced machinists and fabricators in all aspects of industrial technology.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have 20+ years of experience in machining including manual machining

• Have personal tools related to machining and experience with Mastercam.

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Have a Machine Shop Technology degree or any certificates related to the metal fabricating industry (a plus).

• Have experience in Tig Welding, Mig welding, and other forms of welding (a plus).

• Have experience with additive manufacturing, 3D printers, and 3D modeling software (a plus).
