Kelly Services Director of Manufacturing, aerospace electronics in Long Beach, California

Director of Manufacturing for aerospace electronic systems supplier to military programs. Must be a US Citizen(able to obtain a security clearance) and with circuit board manufacturing experience including hands on support as well as management background(7-10 years total experience).

This position will oversee all aspects of manufacturing to produce aerospace electronic products and assure they are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards & cost objectives. The position will directly report to the division general manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and recommend changes to improve productivity and reduce cost through design simplification, packaging and use of new tools to reduce testing time.

  • Support various ongoing technical development programs that may be ready for transitioning to production.

  • Initiate plant layout changes, and installation of capital equipment.

  • Responsibilities will also include product lifecycle support including product improvements, repair and maintenance of returned products.

Experience Guidelines:

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field or significant relevant experience

  • At least 3 years production management experience

  • Experience in writing ECP, RFI, RFP & RFQ responses including costing based on specific technical requirements

  • Program management experience involving leadership

  • Hands on experience in small system development and transition to production

  • Experience in troubleshooting of electronic systems including circuit cards, mechanical packaging and hardware/software issues

  • Understanding of government contractual requirements, revenue/budget and P&L forecasting and execution

  • Use of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems
