Job Title: Bilingual Inventory Planner

Location: Longueuil, QC

Our client, a well-known multinational manufacturer in the aviation industry, is looking for an experienced Bilingual Inventory Planner for their location in the south shore(Longueuil) of Montreal. Must be able to speak both official languages as requested by the client.

1.0 Purpose

This document defines the responsibilities and qualifications needed to perform job responsibilities and duties for Kelly Services Inventory & Planning.

2.0 Scope

The scope of this position will encompass the responsibilities of all contractual, full-time Kelly Services employees working in the Program Inventory & Planning as an Inventory Planner, Material Planning & SIOP.

3.0 Responsibilities

General description of the position (French):

Domaine d’expertise : le rôle du planificateur d’inventaire est responsable de l'inventaire disponible et prévoit de réduire et d'optimiser l'inventaire. Le planificateur d'inventaire doit comprendre les différents types d'inventaire (stock de sécurité, excédent, cycle, surcycle, S'Sed, mouvement lent, etc.) et fournir des plans et participer à des ateliers pour optimiser l'inventaire (réaffectation, réutilisation, ferraille, etc.).

Travaillant en étroite collaboration avec le responsable des stocks SPS, le planificateur d'inventaire doit prévoir les stocks à la fin de chaque mois, comprendre les vents contraires des stocks et proposer des plans d'atténuation. Maîtrisant PowerPoint et Excel ainsi qu'un bon communicateur, la personne sera appelée à soutenir les réunions de niveau exécutif et à discuter de l’état de notre inventaire. Enfin, l'individu sera amené à soutenir divers projets en lien avec ce rôle ou en soutien à l'organisation.

General responsibilities of the position (English):

Area of Expertise: the Inventory Planner role is accountable for the inventory on hand and plans to reduce and optimize inventory. The inventory Planner is expected to understand the different inventory types, (Safety Stock, Excess, cycle, over cycle, S’Sed, slow moving etc.) and provide plans and participate in workshops to optimize the inventory (Re-allocation, repurpose, Scrap etc.).

Working closely with the SPS inventory manager, the inventory planner is asked to forecast inventory at the end of each month, understand the inventory headwind and propose mitigation plans. Proficient in Power Point and Excel as well as a good communicator, the individual will be asked to support Executive level meetings and discuss the status of our inventory. Finally, the individual will be pulled on to support various projects in connection with this role or as a support to the organization.

Ils sont généralement considérés comme des experts dans leur domaine et possèdent une connaissance avancée à experte de leur domaine de travail. Leur rôle consiste à résoudre des problèmes complexes avec un minimum de supervision de la part de leur responsable. De plus, ils influencent les politiques et les pratiques, font preuve de compétences en Microsoft Suite et excellent dans la communication et le travail d’équipe.

Specific responsibilities of position (English):

The Inventory Planner, Materials Planning & SIOP is responsible for managing moderately sized projects or processes. They are typically regarded as subject-matter experts within their discipline and possess advanced to expert knowledge of their work area. The role involves addressing complex problems with minimal oversight from their manager. Additionally, they influence policies and practices, demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Suite, and excel in communication and teamwork.
