Dry Plant Machine Operator Needed in the Bucks County, Pa area!

Under limited supervision, the Dry Plant Operator position performs related work as assigned. Functions include, but are not limited to: performing screen changes, collecting product samples, ensuring equipment is adjusted correctly, inspections and preventative maintenance of equipment and maintains records

Duties and Responsibilities:

Have a clear understanding of the operation of the plant

Have a sound background in equipment maintenance and mechanical theory as well as a solid foundation in electrical troubleshooting and theory.

Comply with safety, health and environmental requirements as per the Employee Handbook plus all issued policies, procedures, and notices.

Perform all work in a safe and satisfactory manner using all safety equipment required for each job.

Be proficient in the utilization of lockout/tag out.

Promptly report any accidents, incidents, or potential hazards to the OHS Manager.

Assist with plant operation and adjustments as directed by the Production Manager and Lab Manager.

Ensure all scheduled preventive maintenance requirements are completed on time and recorded.

Maintain a clean working environment.

Report immediately to the Production Manager and Lab Manager any problems with equipment that may affect the quality or productivity of operation.

Responsible maintaining appropriate stock of replacement screens.

Maintain log of motor amps and temperatures.

Responsible for properly maintaining and organizing all company tools required for plant operation.

Prepares labor cards, job tickets, and other reports, forms, records and related paperwork for assigned area.

Responsible for adhering to established work rules

Insure all personal protection equipment is used at all times

Any other duties of a similar or lesser nature as required

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Completion of a complete Training package.

Complete understand of all industrial safety regulations.

Punctual, meticulous and reliable.

Equipment maintenance, and electrical background.

Ability to work with little or no supervision.

Strong Team player

Language Ability:

Ability to read a limited number of two and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.

Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Math Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but un-involved written or oral instructions.

Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of work processing software; spreadsheet software; inventory software; internet software; order processing systems;

manufacturing software and database software.

The Wet Plant Operator is frequently exposed to noise and dusty conditions.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle of feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
