Kelly in partnership with a leader in the filtration, separation, and purification industry located in Pensacola, FL is currently hiring for Material Handlers
CONTRACT: On-going (possible temp to hire)
SHIFT/PAY: 5:30 am to 4:00 pm (Monday-Friday) $13/hr.
The warehouse consists of 3 areas including: Shipping, Receiving, & Bulk Materials Warehouse. This is an industrial warehouse position in which products, resins, bulk chemicals, and miscellaneous materials are received and issued to support the needs of internal departments within the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform standard start up procedures on computer systems and prepare equipment (forklift) for start-up. Perform both manual and visual inspection and document findings on equipment log
Receive incoming goods by using warehouse equipment; carts, drum dollies, roll carts and forklifts. (will train)
Inspect receipts for damages and accuracy against receiving paperwork. Document deficiencies and report up to the internal customer and purchasing agent
Process receipts against relevant purchase orders in the ERP system and the GE Purchase Card Database system; deliver to the internal customer
Physically collect membrane produced by production and document it into the ERP system. Transport it to its storage location.
Pull and deliver orders from internal departments and enter transaction into the ERP system
Respond to internal customers inquiries regarding material requests, availability of inventory assets or purchase order receipts in the time frame agreed
Conduct inventory by performing physical counts of stock by location and lot
Create relevant product labels as per the product specifications
Physically receive and perform material transfers in the ERP system
Shrink wrap manufactured parts individually, pack in shipping cartons and create shipping labels
Ship orders by the shipping route
Ensure exports and shipments of hazardous materials are shipped with required paperwork
Complete daily housekeeping requirements to maintain a clean and orderly work environment
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Utilize computer systems (i.e., ERP, Lotus Notes, shipping software)
Read and understand written instructions and processes
Perform basic mathematical computations with or without a calculator (will train)
Communicate effectively with internal personnel and external suppliers
Perform physical activities such as lifting (up to 50 lbs.), pulling, pushing of packages, materials, and drums (up to 700 lb.)
Ability to stand, bend, climb and move across distances (up to 200 yards) with or without reasonable accommodations for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hrs.).
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Demonstrate the ability of hand-eye coordination to use warehouse equipment
Ability to pass a written and driving test for a forklift license
Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing a variety of tasks
