Electromechanical Specialist

Kelly Services is currently seeking an Electromechanical Specialist for one of our top clients in Raynham, MA.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with software and hardware development teams to design and implement tests for power tool and robotic platforms

  • Identify strategic opportunities to enhance electromechanical development capabilities through global partnerships

  • Integrate source control routines C++ into test and simulation workflows, closely coordinating with software teams

  • Utilize embedded sensor data to analyze device performance and develop predictive maintenance strategies

  • Contribute to the development of validated electromechanical simulation models by crafting test protocols and implementing sensor data acquisition

  • Work alongside simulation experts to validate models using our advanced lab resources and measurement equipment

  • Strengthen our electronics reliability simulation capabilities through collaboration with the functional test group to develop new test rigs

  • Clearly communicate findings and insights from tests developed to development teams.

  • Work with teams to identify critical project requirements

  • Liaise closely with global team members to establish critical needs and proactively identify project risks to be addressed with EM testing or simulation

Education

  • Minimum of BS in: Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Robotics, Computer Engineering Advanced degree preferred

Experience and Skills:

  • 2+ years of post-graduate experience within the field of electromechanical devices is required, with a robust understanding of robotics and control systems preferred

  • Hands-on prototyping or laboratory experience is preferred

  • Experience with embedded sensors e.g. IMUs and Kalman Filter implementation and communication protocols SPI, I2C Experience with Data Acquisition, Signal Processing, AI, ML

  • Strong background in software development such as C/C++, Matlab or Python is required

  • Familiarity with PCB design and coding principles, with coding ideally in C++ Proficiency in CAD tools Siemens NX/Creo preferred

  • Knowledge of industry standards and certifications relevant to robotics and control systems.

  • Understanding the design controls process and successful completion of the product development life cycle of complex capital equipment devices is preferred

  • The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage a varied workload, exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills and interface effectively with project teams, and management

  • Must be able to effectively communicate technical concepts, ideas and knowledge to a diverse audience and work effectively as a team member

  • Ability to work unsupervised on assigned tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated enthusiasm and willingness to learn
