Job Summary:

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment within an industrial setting. Your goal will be to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of production processes by performing preventive maintenance and addressing mechanical and electrical issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner and determine the most effective solutions.

  • Repairs: Repair or replace defective parts in machinery and perform necessary calibration and testing to ensure proper functionality.

  • Installation: Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment, ensuring that it meets operational and safety standards.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and parts inventory.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance technicians, production personnel, and management to address maintenance needs and minimize downtime.

  • Training: Provide training and support to junior technicians and other staff members on proper maintenance techniques and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or an associate degree in a related field is preferred.

  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various environmental conditions.

  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Team Player: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Certifications in areas such as HVAC, electrical, or specific machinery maintenance.

  • Computer Skills: Familiarity with maintenance management software and basic computer skills.

  • Knowledge: Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.

Working Conditions:

  • Schedule: Full-time position with potential for overtime and on-call hours.

  • Environment: Work is performed in a manufacturing or industrial environment, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
