Kelly Services Loop Check Coordinator in Seadrift, Texas

Kelly Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Loop Check Coordinator in Seadrift, Texas ! The Loop Check Coordinator is a person experienced in Do-Maintenance and Construction, who has the skills and knowledge to create a loop check job package using the work order, Construction package, and Manufactures Owners Manuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gain access to the Houston project folder & 3D model via project manager.

  • Review all Main folder and Sub electronic folders to get familiar with the documentation.

  • Work with the construction manager to get included in project meetings & document distribution lists

  • Communicate with SCO Construction Support Documenter to have the project CD’s reproduced for all I/E contracts.

  • Work with the Project Manager to have a work order issued for loop checks (large capital projects usually place loop checks under the maintenance Commissioning / startup cost center)

  • Review the construction package and prepare checkout time estimates to the project scheduler.

  • Get a quote from the site I/E contract companies for the number of instrument tech’s needed. Have a PO generated to cover the loop check labor.

  • Get a quote from Tomba communications to cover radio rentals for the technicians. Have a PO generated to cover the rental costs.

  • Prepare excel Loop Check Update tool to sort updates by systems. Work with the Houston Instrument Lead to provide the loop check index/schedule.

  • Verify who will be leading/executing the SIS checkouts. Plan SIS checkouts as a separate timetable step.

  • Contact the lead Project Engineer to be included on the package “Addendum” email distribution lists.

  • Approve contractor submitted labor costs through incoming purchasing emails and/or paper copies from contractor.

  • Assigns job resources per project

  • Reports the progress of the daily work to enable adjustments to the daily work schedule when needed

  • Uses “quality feedback” from the persons doing work to optimize the loop check plans for future projects

  • Assists in field checks when needed

  • Prepares electronic documentation on a per project basis utilizing the loop check file share. This includes but not limited to sign off sheets, vendor documents, procedure documents, and installation of instrument software on loop check laptop for specific instruments.

  • Identify materials/tools/equipment required to perform tasks and ensure loop checkers are trained in the use of the necessary equipment

  • Build electronic loop check update tracking databases by using loop check schedules from engineering.

  • Must be proficient in Intools and Smart Plant Explorer to build browsers and cross check engineering’s inst schedule.

  • File completed project work packages into the filing system

  • Lead loop check effort on all I/E projects at SCO

  • Identify/solicit safety information from production and requirements necessary to safely perform tasks.

  • Notify other crafts of their requirement to provide input to loop check job plan (motor control checkouts, vibration checkouts, analyzer loops, etc.)

  • Ensure loop check personnel are guest in house safety trained and also trained in use of calibration equipment and procedures

  • Utilize the EMETL installation standards and understand the coding (e.g. G6-*-)

  • Accept work orders from Construction Owner’s Reps ES projects. SPA work orders are used for Small Project Loop Checking.

  • Fully understand Global Project Methodology Chapters 7 & 8

  • Utilize other technical resources and contact vendor reps for on-site assistance

  • Demonstrate proficiency in use of Engineering Solutions electronic folder structure (Both SCO and Houston since they differ slightly)

  • Provide man-hours and duration to the TA group for TA projects.

QUALIFICAITIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • At least 3-5 years of related experience

  • Prior knowledge/experience in in Do-Maintenance and Construction

  • Self-starter attitude that works well within a team environment

  • Proficiency within MS Office and SAP preferred
