Kelly Services Material Coordinator in Seadrift, Texas

Kelly Engineering is currently seeking a Material Coordinator in the Seadrift, Texas area! The Material Coordinator will act as a focal point for acquisition, scheduling and distribution of materials and supplies.

Responsibilities:

  • Receives material requests from Maintenance and Commissioning and Start Up (CS&U) Team. Validates vendor, cost and delivery dates and translates into requisitions.

  • Source materials according to Procurement guidelines. Processes material requests for planned and emergency work; tracks and expedites marshalled material.

  • Communicates with the appropriate maintenance role (Coordinator and Planner) to coordinate material delivery for maintenance and commissioning work.

  • Functions as a focal point for disposition of extra/unneeded parts and generating delivery instructions for internal and external returns.

  • Communicates Supplier Performance Issues.

  • Enters materials, tools, equipment requests via SAP and confirms delivery date.

  • Coordinate the return of materials, tools and equipment obtained on a value added work order.

  • Schedule is a 5-8 shift, Monday - Friday 7:00am to 4:30pm. Extended hours will be worked according to commissioning schedule needs. C&SU schedule has potential to spread into 6-10s or longer duration daily/weekly schedule.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 or more years of procurement or warehousing experience (receiving, ordering, stocking, etc. inventory).

  • Experience in Microsoft applications, Excel, and have the ability to learn new systems quickly.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.

  • Have the ability to adapt to changing conditions and job priorities.

  • Demonstrate the following competencies: leadership, initiative, and the ability to learn.

  • A self-starter who can identify, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks.

  • Strong work ethic. Must be able to manage multiple job inventory list and organize a kitting process.

  • Able to work within an empowered team environment. Must be professional to speak with vendors and detail in follow ups

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or Qualifying Asylee/Refugee).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of procurement or warehousing experience (receiving, ordering, stocking, etc. inventory).

  • Experience with large capital projects inside of DOW

  • A working knowledge of SAP.

  • Willing to work overtime

  • Can operate a forklift, pallet jack

  • Background in material identification, gaskets, spare parts for major or rotating equipment, fixed equipment and instrumentation
