Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Scientist for a contract role at one of our Global clients in Spring House PA. This site is BYOD.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This role will be part of a team of scientists utilizing a broad spectrum of biophysical techniques to characterize physical attributes of therapeutic assets developedfrom initial hit generation through lead molecule selection, culminating in the delineation of the biophysical and structural quality of clinical candidates entering the development portfolio.

  • The role is a laboratory-based position that will contribute to this team by conducting solubility, aggregation, and stability studies of candidate molecules as they progress through the discovery pipeline by using various chromatographic techniques i ncluding light scattering and spectroscopy .

  • He/she/they is expected to design, conduct, and analyze the results of these experiments, as well as represent the biophysics group on project teams and in collaboration with the therapeutic areas.

  • Conduct experiments relating to high concentration properties viscosity, concentratability, stability, aggregation, and self-association of lead molecules.

  • Set-up stability studies and prepare samples for biophysical analysis.

  • Conduct high throughput biophysical measurements using NanoDSF, GXII, chromatography SEC, HIC, CIC , cIEF, DLS, and DSC instrumentation .

  • Independently interpret and communicate results to program teams and management. Design and implement new techniques and strategies to study the higher order structure and biophysical characteristics of TD assets and to optimize the biophysics characterization workflow.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Biochemistry, Protein Analytical Chemistry, Biophysics, Chemistry, or related field

  • 1-3 years of relative industry experience

  • Good understanding of the fundamentals of proteins

  • Good written and oral communication skills
