Kelly Services Validation Technician (contract) in St. Louis, Missouri

This Animal Health biopharmaceutical company is making improvements to their Cleaning Validation Program and seeking a Validation Technician to help compile a master equipment list for the site, organized according to the individual production lines.

Title : Validation Technician (contract)

Location : St. Louis, MO

Rate : $26-28/hr.

Length of Assignment : 6 months

Day Shift

Details for the project:

  • A template will be provided to record all requisite data

  • There won’t be any requirements to generate the documentation from scratch

  • Improvements / suggestions will be welcome if they add value to the final reference document

  • The project will be handled in segments based on the priority assigned to each production area

  • This sequence is already determined and will be provided later

  • Equipment includes various blenders, fitz mills, packaging equipment, transfer lines, tanks, hoppers, valves, etc.

  • Some equipment on site will have cutsheets and other data available, primarily through the maintenance / MS&T teams

  • Line 300, for example, was just completely rebuilt and should have documentation available

  • Some equipment does not have official documentation for surface areas and will require field-estimation based on measurements taken on the job

  • There may be some interaction with our quality group to determine if hardcopies of old equipment data are available in our records room

  • Interaction with production will be required to help identify all product-contact equipment, as well as ensure the naming strategy aligns with production expectations

  • To avoid confusion, we want the names of the equipment that we will use in our cleaning protocols to match how production is describing the items

Expectations:

  • With direction from MS&T to get started, take control of developing the equipment list

  • Check-in with MS&T as needed for progress updates

  • Interface with other departments as needed with minimal oversight

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Science / technical background with some level of engineering / field work

  • Operator experience would be acceptable

  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations in terms of operational awareness / exposure to manufacturing work environments

  • Ability to focus and handle time-consuming tasks

  • Ability to take field measurements from various pieces of equipment and convert them to surface area estimates
