Kelly Services Material Handler in Thomasville, Georgia

Pay Rate/Hours:

• $16.13 - 17.50 per hour

• 2nd shift: 3:30 pm to midnight, Monday through Friday

• 30 min break

• Will be providing material for production team that works 10 hour shifts

• 40 to 50 hours per week

What’s a typical day as a Material Handler? You’ll be:

• Maintaining incoming and outgoing product movement throughout the facility

• Following all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality

• Conveying materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas

• Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and distributing items to production areas

• Assembling customer orders from stock and placing orders on pallets

• Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed

• Using computer software to enter records

• Driving material handling equipment to transport stored items

• Practicing appropriate safety and hygiene guidelines/procedures

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent

• Have previously operated a fork lift for 6+ months (required)

• Are able to communicate effectively with team members and management staff

• Can read information through warehouse computer software

• Have 1-3 years of relevant work experience (preferred)

• Are able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis

• Are able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on a frequent basis

• Have the ability to operate a computer and communicate via telephone
