What a typical day as an Welder might look like:

lCut, thread, and fit pipe and tubing to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders.

lAssemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, and threading joints. Attach pipes to structures and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding.

lInspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.

lMeasure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.

lEvaluate, design, and implement proper assembly for Turboexpander Machines.

lGive guidance to fellow employees and help to assure projects schedules are maintained.

lEvaluate P & ID Drawings and design pipelines & tubing lines on machines.

lDetermine materials needed to complete assembly.

lCut and assemble piping using valves and tube fittings.

lFabricate tubing lines for instruments and lubrication consoles.

lInstall instruments which include differential gauges, switches, and transmitters.

lAbility to lead teams

lProficient at reading P & ID drawings

lUnderstanding of basic welding

lMechanical knowledge in plumbing

lCertified ASME Welder (a plus)

lRefinery, high pressure oil and gas piping experience a plus

lPrevious experience in a leadership role

lTubing experience

lFabrication experience

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

lExperience with Microsoft Office products-please provide specific knowledge and which MS applications.

lExcel-do they need data entry only skills or, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formula knowledge, HM would like this experience.

lWord-Will they need to know how to navigate Word and to what degree . Or are they using Word Templates.

lOutlook-Will they need to manage multiple calendars or respond to emails, and may be using templates and free form.

lAccess-Power Point.

lHigh School diploma or GED

lTrade School Certificate

lHands-on leadership

lComputer knowledge a plus

lComply with all safety regulations

l5 years demonstrated experience in supervision

lA strong passion for delivering the highest quality

l5 + years of experience in Pipe Fitting within a manufacturing environment.
